“IF IT’S GOOD, YOU KNOW.” SAYS PAREDES, THAT IS THE FOUNDATION OF HIS DESIGN PHILOSOPHY, ONE HE’S PUTTING INTO PRACTICE AT HIS MULTI-DISCIPLINARY STUDIO.

Alfredo Paredes knows how to harness design to tell a story and to create an entire world in a single project—be it a room, residence, store, restaurant or a hotel – to bring exceptional experiences to life for clients in search of the extraordinary.

Alfredo Paredes, who’s been described as having “visually perfect pitch,” is an industry veteran who spent 33 years creating environments, experiences, and products at Ralph Lauren, most recently in the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer.

It was there that Paredes, as head of both Global Store Design and Architecture, was the creative force behind all the Ralph Lauren stores and restaurants worldwide. He was also responsible for the inception of the famed visuals of the flagship Madison Avenue store windows and the conception and design of the now legendary Polo Bar in Manhattan.

Referring to his decades-long relationship with Mr. Lauren, “I’m a multi-disciplinary creative director taught by the best,” Paredes notes.  His wide range of expertise and skill also had him at the helm of the Ralph Lauren Home Design Studio, which will serve his own studio well as it expands the Alfredo Paredes furniture line to rugs and home accessories.  Then, there was the event piece and the lead for Alfredo’s creative leadership, helming once-in-a-lifetime spectacular events such as Lauren’s 50th-anniversary fashion show and party in Central Park.

Prior to his three-decade career at Ralph Lauren, Paredes worked in visuals for Laura Ashley and Britches of Georgetown. He’s a graduate of the Art Institute in Atlanta.

Says Paredes, “Good design has the power to transport you to other places and other states of mind.” Those are just the sorts of creative enterprises in which Alfredo Paredes Studio specializes—the fashioning of spaces, home furnishings, and unique events designed to accelerate the pulse of clients with even the biggest dreams.

Alfredo Paredes Studio's mission is to create extraordinary environments and unforgettable truly memorable experiences. “We’re detail-oriented,” Paredes says, “and we obsess over everything.”
